Today Yomah spent most of the day at Shabbat fair! Then we went into sports and science, and most of us ended the day with a splash in the pool. Lastly Yomah brought the day to an end by having a camp wide Shabbat and watch Off Broadways performance!
Today at camp we went to the Exploratorium! We learned about light and color in all the cool different exhibits we got to explore!
Today at camp we learned about the Kibbutzim in Israel and built some using LEGO! In Art we worked on building baskets out of yarn, and made catapults in unit time! Lastly we made a splash at the pool!
Today at camp we learned about Georgia O’Keefe! Then in unit time we played Gaga and ran basketball drills! We got to know each other by playing Heads Up and Charades!
Today at camp we talked about our hopes and dreams in Israeli/Jewish time and learned about yesterday’s Jewish holiday, Tisha B’Av! Then in unit time we learned about butterflies by making stained-glass butterflies out of tissue paper. We also learned about mining and geology using a chocolate chip cookie! Lastly, we took a dip in the pool and made self portraits in Art!
Today we woke up from our sleepover and had waffles and eggs! We learned about diversity in unit time through an art project. We used different objects in art to see how they could be used to paint. We also had a special guest who brought a bunch of amazing animals! Lastly, we took a dip in the pool.
Today at camp we kicked off our sleepover with tons of fun activities! We are spending our night in pretending we are bugs with watching “Bugs Life” and eating dirt cups! Can’t wait for more tomorrow!
Today in Israeli Jewish we took a trip to Jerusalem, we learned all about the Western Wall and wrote notes of what they are thankful for to be placed in the wall. In art today we drew waterfront houses and focused on the houses’ reflections in the water. In addition we also had garden where we learned about local wildlife and listened to the many sounds in the garden.
Today in art we did foil painting and learned about calm and stormy oceans in order to understand textures. In science we built catapults. Then in unit time we learned about carbonation to continue the lesson when we made lava lamps!
Today at camp we played team building games in Sports! In Art we learned about spiders and made our own spiderweb art with watercolors! Then we had a great time making lava lumps and took a dip in the pool!
