Today at camp we got to go in the bouncy house, make catapults, dance and make candles at Shabbat Fair! In science we learned about air pressure, and we also got to swim today!

Today at camp we went to Aqua Adventures, where we went down the water slides, floated through the lazy river, and played on a water park playground!

Today at camp we mixed different substances in science to see their reactions! We mixed vinegar and food dye and added droplets of water to watch it change color! We made baskets from yarn in Art, then learned about Rube Goldberg and got to build our own Rube Goldberg machines!

Today at camp we learned more about Israel and Jewish culture! In Art we made self-portraits, which was so much fun. We played rainbow tag and even made a rainbow in a jar!

Today at camp we refined everyone’s comics from yesterday! We designed covers, took pictures, managed files, and put everything together on the computer! If we keep working this efficiently, we’ll be able to make another!

Today at camp we learned about energy and mining! We practiced by mining the chocolate chips out of a cookie and then recording the results! We learned each others’ names by playing games, and then in Sports we played Capture the Flag! We also went for a nice swim in the afternoon!

B’Yachad – Session 2

We have been camping since Wednesday, and having a KEFF time! We went swimming in the lake at Del Valle, and took out motor boats with our counselors. We ate chocolate chip pancakes for in the morning, and ate s’mores by the fire in the evening. We ended up finishing our trip back at the PJCC because it was super hot out! We camped out on the turf field, and watched the Bee Movie under the stars. Today we took a trip to the lake across the street, tested out our bottle rockets, took a dip in the pool, and played Gaga Ball!

Today at camp, we got to decorate cakes in the shape of Israel. We had to use frosting, sprinkles, and fish candies. In art we got to draw trees and create a forest! Our group also got to make slime today!

Today at camp we made water bottle rockets in Science! Then we continued our tour of Israel with Morah Danielle, visiting Jerusalem and seeing the Kotel and the Knesset—she even showed us her citizenship ID from Israel! We got to decorate our nature journals for camping this week and then we swam!

Today at camp we had Shabbat Fair! We got to make grape juice, challah, and jump in the bounce house! In science, we learned about different forms of energy. We made catapults from popsicle sticks, spoons and rubber bands.
