Today at camp we learned about bacteria and got to make our own from paper and glue! In Art we recreated Vincent Van Gogh’s Starry Night portrait! Then we learned about the seven Jewish ancestors in Israeli/Jewish culture time!
Today at camp we went to the Adventure Playground, where we used saws and hammers and paint to construct more of the playground! We also climbed around and went down a zipline!
Today at camp we went to the Oakland zoo, where we saw huge elephants and other cool animals like lions, meerkats, and insects! We also rode on the gondola!
Today at camp we learned how to play hockey in Sports, made tie-dyed t-shirts, and made art out of our names! In Israel/Jewish time, we used our imaginations to go on a trip to Israel, where we learned all about Tel Aviv!
Today at camp we got to separate oil from water in Science! Then we played games to learn each other’s names! We played soccer and various soccer games during Sports, along with swimming!
Today at camp we went on a field trip to Sky High! We bounced around on lots of different trampolines, including the dodgeball arena, basketball court, and foam pit!
We went on a camping trip for one night! We had a lot of fun in the great outdoors! We designed our own bandanas, played games, went on hikes, and learned all about the plants of the Redwood Forest.
On our final day of basketball, we played some intense games of knock-out and competed in some competitive scrimmages. Additionally, we ventured into other sports, playing soccer, dodgeball, gaga and badminton
Today we started off our K-2 grade campers in building Gotham City using conveyor belts that ran on small motors. We then built small gliders that shot at our arch enemies! The 3-6 grade campers did the same thing, but also got to make battle gliders!
In Ace of Cakes, we teamed up in 5, and made our own two layered surfers cake! We decorated and frosted it, using food coloring and our own creativity! We had lots of fun and can’t wait to share a slice with our parents!
