Today at camp we started by playing the Tarp Name Game so we could learn each others’ names and get to know one another! Then we played a bunch of games using pool toys before having a nice swim in the pool!

Soccer

Today at camp we started with soccer drills and dribbling! Then we played Sharks and Minnows and Ghostbusters to prepare for more advanced drills to come later in the week!

Kindercamp – Session 3

Today at camp we made a special map paper for our Pirate Party on Thursday! We made a rainbow salsa in the garden using different fresh fruits, and in Art we made painted burgers!

Off Broadway

Today did a full run through of our show and finished our program! We beat Erika for the first time ever in red light green light! And we got to perform in front of the entire camp!

Things That Go

Today at camp, we learned about rockets! We learned about the forces that affect rockets and how much it takes to make one go. We also made straw rockets in which we used the force of blowing  into a straw to propel a paper rocket!

Camp was full of super heroes today! Katie taught us that everyone can be an artist and it all started with a dot! In science we made hovercrafts powered by balloons.

Today at camp we continued to learn about chemical reactions! We used water colors and baking soda to watch them interact! During unit time we made fishing rods and used them to catch magnetic fish!

Off Broadway

Today at camp we went over all the songs we’ve learned this week: “Bigger Isn’t Better”, “Orange Colored Sky”, “Mama Rainbow”, and “Happiness”! We practiced wearing our costumes and made more props that will make our performance even more special!

Today at camp we made boats out of three different kinds of materials: tinfoil, cork, and pool noodles! Then we tested them out in the water to see which worked best!

Today at camp we learned how words can hurt others and how to make things right! We upcycled crayons to make fancy new ones, made pocket solar systems, and painted flowers while learning about Georgia O’Keefe!
