Today at camp we made kung pao tofu! We started by chopping zucchini and bell pepper. We made a sauce using soy sauce, sesame oil, and cornstarch along with garlic and ginger that we minced ourselves!
Today was our second to last day of camp, and we want to take the opportunity to thank all of our families for what has been the most loving and special summer! We miss Ben and Jackson already, and wish all of our friends the best school year. Today was an extra fun day, we had bubble parties, water fun, painted under the table and did wood art projects! We can’t wait for Friday to see our Kahol friends and have a special goodbye day at camp! Congratulations to Thomas and his family who welcomed baby brother Max early this morning!!! Mazel Tov!
Today at camp we played with water balloons! We had so much fun trying to catch them and hitting our counselors with them!
Today at camp we went to Fairyland, where we went on rides like a carousel, a train, and a Ferris wheel!
Today at camp we started to use claymation studio with our toys so we can make a story with them!
Today at camp we played Bees and Bears! We also learned and practiced the scissor and box moves with the ball, and then we scrimmaged!
Today at camp we built the logo of our favorite superhero! Our first big project had us building pyramids in the style of the batcave. Our second project used motors to make Bane’s Drill Tank!
Today at camp we made sweet empanadas. We first talked about the apple mixture that makes the filling. It was made of apples, lemon juice, cinnamon, sugar, and water! Then we made dough using flour, sugar, cinnamon, and butter! We rolled out the dough, used a pastry cutter to cut the dough into a circle, and then placed filling on top! We folded over the filled dough and used a fork to seal the empanada closed!
Today at camp we did vaults and jumps! Then we climbed ropes and did rock climbing, and even jumped in the foam pit!
Today at camp we continued to work on our storyboard in groups! Then we started to use the claymation studio to learn how to use the stopmotion program, so we can bring one toy to camp tomorrow!
