Today at camp we practiced our straight jumps, pencil jumps, cartwheels, front rolls, rope swings, and beam walks! We’re on our way to learning the essentials of gymnastics!

B’Yachad – Session 3

Today at camp we learned about chemical reactions in Science! Then we did team building exercises and doubles tag! In Israeli/Jewish studies we learned about the IDF (Israeli Defense Force) and the different things they do for Israel, doing a mock-bootcamp obstacle course! Then we got to swim in the pool.

Intro to Animation

Today at camp we made a storyboard with our partners! We did this to better understand the making of a stop motion animation and to plan out our animations!

Food Truck Challenge

Today at camp we learned how to safely hold a knife while chopping up ingredients like cabbages and carrots! We cried while chopping the onions, but our tears were soon forgotten after we finished making a black bean burger with a side of coleslaw!

3D Animation

Today at camp we learned what timelines, tools, layers, and frame rates are in animation, and how to use them! Then we started making a five second animation with 120 frames, changing movements every 6th frame with our partners. We then created a new ten second animation, each of us with our own layer using two shapes! Finally, we created an animation with deliberate movements.

Splish Splash

Today at camp we started by playing the Tarp Name Game so we could learn each others’ names and get to know one another! Then we played a bunch of games using pool toys before having a nice swim in the pool!

Hip Hop Dance

Today at camp we started by stretching to warm up! We began learning our first Hip Hop routine to “Hey Ya” by Outkast!

Drone Escape and Rescue

Today at camp we started the day by filling out our flight journals! We then learned to fly our drones through hoops, both inside out outside!

Soccer

Today at camp we started with soccer drills and dribbling! Then we played Sharks and Minnows and Ghostbusters to prepare for more advanced drills to come later in the week!

Kindercamp – Session 3

Today at camp we made a special map paper for our Pirate Party on Thursday! We made a rainbow salsa in the garden using different fresh fruits, and in Art we made painted burgers!
